Dumêla

Dumêla, the first word my family and I heard as we entered the country we now call home. Dumêla, a simple hello that has marked the beginning of a life changing journey. Dumêla, the renewing of my spirit.

It has been seven months since we have moved to Botswana. Although I am not here under the circumstances that I had always dreamed of, I am here. Where I always wanted to be. Living the life I always hoped to live. Experiencing the season of life I prayed for. For this I am thankful. These past seven months have been an absolute whirlwind. A whirlwind of emotions and experiences that have produced the most beautiful epiphanies.  Elements of myself that had been lost, from the busyness of life, have come back to me.  My eyes are open and my spiritual vision is clearer than it has ever been. This leap of faith has proven to be all I expected and more.  May your faith lead you to go with God. Wherever it may be and with whomever it may be. What’s waiting for you there is better than anything you could have ever imagined.

XO,

Courtney

  1. Dumela my beautiful sister friend! This is so beautiful, incredible, and encouraging. It’s so amazing to see where God takes you is not necessarily where you’ve envisioned but it’s the place He has planted you in and needs you to be in order for His glory to manifest and be made known. I’m contually praying with and for you and so happy to see all God is doing in you and through you. God bless you! 🙂
